Description

About Claude Opus 5.5.

Claude Opus 5.5 is Anthropic's current Opus model, released September 22, 2026, and built for long-running agentic coding and knowledge work. Anthropic's typical uses are multihour autonomous coding agents, large refactors, systems engineering, vision-heavy workflows and computer use. It takes text and images and returns text, with a 1M-token context and 128K tokens of output, or up to 300K through the Batch API in beta. Adaptive thinking is always on and can't be turned off, and effort sets its depth.
